Minor design and navigation changes to the SOS site
The navigation has been updated to use scrolling navigation panes for a few sections, such as User Tools and E-Doc Initiators. The navigation panes are opened by clicking on a link in the navigation bar on the left. They're closed either by clicking the "close" link in the top or bottom of the pane or by clicking another link in the nav bar on the main page. Everything else about the navigation has remained the same.
November 2008
Over the next couple of months we will be implementing the eDocs Usability project. This project is a complete rewrite of the HRMS eDocs system. Functionality will remain the same, but the look and feel is significantly different. The new system allows you to see the entire contents of an eDocs on one screen instead of having to click through various screens. You will also see side-by-side, “before and after” views when changing information in the system. If you are a user of the EPIC system, you will recognize the look and feel of the new system as being very much EPIC-like.
The implementation schedule is as follows:
- Monday, December 8th: IUPUI, Columbus, and East campuses
- Monday, January 12th: Northwest, South Bend, and Southeast campuses
- Monday, January 26th: Bloomington and Kokomo campuses
Here is an overview document (PDF), including screen shots, to provide you some information about the new system. As the implementation date for your campus approaches, you will receive information regarding available training sessions.
